How we calculate it
The scale of your family is 1 for the first parent, 1/2 for the second and 1/4 for each child.
Your family income divided by the scale gives the equivalent income, and that gives the category.
Each child gets the amount of the category. From the third child on, the amount is double.
We checked the rules on 19 October 2026. The result is an estimate. It does not replace your payroll or your accountant.
