What is my net as a freelancer?
What you keep as a freelancer, after e-EFKA and tax.
At a glance
The answer, and what is worth knowing.
- With €24,000 income and €2,000 expenses, in e-EFKA category 1, you keep €1,349.72 a month.
- Insurance category 1 costs €260.77 a month. Young people pay €160.46 for the first 5 years.
- From the 4th year, presumed income applies. In 2026 it is €12,880.00 after the 5th year.
How we calculate it
The e-EFKA contributions are the amount of your category, plus €10 for DYPA, times 12 months.
Net profit is income minus expenses and contributions.
The tax counts on the higher of the profit and the presumed income, with the 2026 tax scale.
The advance for next year is 55% of the tax. The tool shows it, but does not take it off your net.
We checked the rules on 19 October 2026. The result is an estimate. It does not replace your payroll or your accountant.
