When you can retire on a pension.
At a glance
The answer, and what is worth knowing.
- Full pension at 67, with 4,500 insurance days, that is 15 years.
- Full pension at 62, with 12,000 days, that is 40 years.
- The national pension of 2026 is €446.87 with 20 years, and €402.18 with 15.
How we calculate it
Each pension needs an age and a number of insurance days. Its date is the later of the two.
The missing days fill up at the days a year that you entered. 300 a year is full-time work.
The reduced pension loses 1/200 for each month before 67, up to 30%.
The national pension counts full years of insurance: 300 days make one year.
We checked the rules on 19 October 2026. The result is an estimate. It does not replace your payroll or your accountant.
