On top of the base pay: the allowances of the Staff Regulations, such as the expatriation allowance and the family allowances.
The amounts are the base pay of a month, before EU tax. The EU pays 12 salaries a year.
The Staff Regulations of EU officials, article 66. Council of the EU, ST 16220/25 ADD 1.
The base pay leaves out the allowances. The cost per person above holds them, with the contributions of the body.
Other companies of the sector
In the sector “International organisations”.
How we calculate it
Two figures from the statements of the company.
The staff cost of the year, €13,168,186, divided by the staff, 127, makes €103,687 per person.
We do not derive a monthly pay from the cost, because the EU has its own tax and its own contributions. The EU scale gives the base pay.
It is the average of all roles, from the cashier to the board. It is not the pay of one role. The pay of each role is in the scale.
