Insurance days
At a glance
Ensima are your days of insurance with e-EFKA, the social security fund. A month of full-time work records 25 days, and a year 300. They decide your pension, unemployment benefit and maternity benefit.
The name comes from the paper stamps, the ένσημα, that were once stuck in the insurance booklet of IKA, the old social security fund. Today the days are recorded online, through the declaration your employer makes each month.
How many you need
For a pension at 67 you need 4,500 days, which is 15 years. For a pension at 62 you need 12,000 days, which is 40 years.
