Daily pay
At a glance
Daily pay is the pay for one day of work. If you are paid a monthly salary, your daily pay is the salary divided by 25. The minimum daily wage in 2026 is €41.09.
Daily pay is the measure for public holidays, the sixth day, leave and the bonuses. The divisor of 25 applies even when your week has 5 working days.
Daily pay and insurance days
A manual worker on a daily wage records insurance days for the days worked. A salaried employee records 25 a month.
