Hourly pay
At a glance
Hourly pay is the pay for one hour of work. If you are paid a monthly salary, it is the salary divided by 25, times 6, divided by 40. The minimum wage gives about €5.52 an hour.
Hourly pay is the base of every premium: for additional hours, overtime, night work and Sundays.
In part-time work, the divisor is the hours in your contract, not 40.
