Minimum wage
At a glance
The minimum wage is the lowest full-time salary the law allows. From 1 April 2026 it is €920 gross a month, and the minimum daily wage is €41.09.
The government sets the minimum wage every year, after a consultation. From 2026, the base salary of the first pay step of the YE grade in the public sector follows the minimum wage.
In part-time work, the minimum wage applies in proportion to your hours.
